Help Chappy & Friends Recruit More Projects!

Chappy & Friends is actively recruiting those that want to save the lives of animals, enhance the lives of animals, and/or advocate for animals. Please help us with the process of reaching potential projects! In addition to recruiting budding rescues and others on the front lines of animal welfare, we are now recruiting animal hospitals who desperately need help for their less affluent owners and their pets.

OUR STORY, OUR MUSE

Things are not easy for puppy mill dogs. Chappy, was a quivering little 8-pound Havanese-Poodle boy when he was rescued from a TN "Poodle Palace" with 200 other dogs.

Robert Bills, the founder of Chappy & Friends, first met Chappy at The Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. After thinking overnight about the commitment to adopt, Robert called to see if Chappy was still available. He was told Chappy had been adopted. Nevertheless, the person on the phone seemed a bit unsure about this "fact". So Robert drove by later that day to peek in the window to see if Chappy was still there. To his amazement, Chap was there! Needless to say, fate was tempted no more as Robert went in and immediately adopted The Chapster.

The rest is a glorious history of trials and tribulations, fears, anxieties, and triumphs. Now 181/2, Chapstick enjoys life largely due to his own courage and determination to trust people again and to demonstrate love for his family and friends. As befits a champion, he now has his own nationwide not-for-profit, Chappy & Friends, helping the rest of the animal kingdom!
